ALFREDO RUIZ

Alfredo Ruiz Arias was born in Mexico City in 1992.

He studied Communication at the Intercontinental University and later studied at other institutions (National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), SOMA and University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC), related to the History of Art, Latin American Art, curatorship, etc. Later, he studied Film Direction at the Mantarraya Film Workshop, where he made his first documentary feature film, Jondo.

 

He is currently at the Film Curating Posgraduate Program at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastían (Basque Country) and working in a  documentary on traditional practices that have been forgotten, such as salt work in Mexico and a research project around rain in moving image.
